01/07/2008 - GO LIVE NEW WAREHOUSE CARIDIANBCT

In July 2008 Opteon assisted Gambro BCT in adapting its SAP system to its new company name: CaridianBCT.

After successfully completing the name change, Opteon fully supported CaridianBCT in the first phase of moving its warehouse activities to the site of its new logistics partner NYK in Melsele. This first phase was closed with a successful ‘Go-Live’ on August 18th, 2008.

This change involved the following activities within the CaridianBCT SAP environment:

  • The implementation of a new shipping process, involving the set up and activation of Idocs as well as email communication for exchanging both transactional and master data between CaridianBCT and NYK.
  • The detailed set up and calculation of lead times and the integration of cut-off times, aiming at providing more accurate information in the Customer Service department
  • The clean-up of master data and transactional dat
  • Fully automated processes within the warehouse through the use of scanning

The gains from this project are:

  • Increased visibility and quality of information for the Customer Service department.
  • Improved accuracy and follow up of stock levels and availability information.
